Writing

Hi darling!!

How are things¿? I'm very well and happy because last week it was my birthday and my father gave to me a gift, a very beautiful present. It's a book-->"Dead of a Beekeeper" by Lars Gustafsson.

I write this letter because I enjoyed this book a lot and I thought that you would love it, too. The plot is about one beekeeper that was married with a girl called Diana. They live in a small town called Timland and in ancient times there was a virus with all the animals that can fly. One day, Bem saw that his bees didn't make honey and he saw that they had a problem, they were infected by a virus and one of them bit his face and he has a big infection. For these reason he died.

Marta, it's a very nice book!!! I hope you love it. If you read it, send me a letter with your opinion.

A big hug and kss***

Sea Greens

Magazine Resident, December 2007 number 28

Seaweeds are some of the oldest living things on planet, and one of the few truly wild plants left. They are self-sufficient and a sustainable resource, and are chock-full of all the nutrients they nedd, wich happen to be pretty much all the nutrients we need.

A 2001 study by the "Universidad Compultense de Madrid" found that seaweeds contain all the essential elements the human body requires.

They're good for the immune system, cell reproduction and function and metabolism.
As ecologists and vegetarians, they were interested including seaweed in their own diet.

Hi Lurdes!!!

Another year I stay in Castelló d'Empúries but this is not a problem. I'm very happy because I'm with good friends in class and I hope have good marks this term.
In one hand, this summer I am working in The Turism Office of Sant Pere Pescador and I also practise a lot my English, French and German. I think it's a nice experience and this helps me a lot to not be nervious in front of people that I don't know.

This year I am very self-confident and I think that I'm a little bit mature.
In the other hand, I'm not in the Office all the day; I go out with my friends to the beach and in the disco. I have the driving licence now but I don't have car. In one week maybe I have one Opel Corsa blue.

Finally, I want to explain to you that in Christmas I am going to work in the library of Sant Pere Pescador for one month and I don't do holidays but I wan't to use the money for gasoline.

Well, I don't have any more to say. Only that I hope that you have a nice week.
A big hug,

Cati Berrocal Julià

News: THE HIGH PRICE OF COMMUNIONS

3. Catalonia Today, Thursday, may 3, 2007-12-03

The average of a first communion cost about 3.000 € but this can vary form 1.500 to 6.000 €. The three principle ingredients of the celebration are the dress or suit, restaurant expenses and photography. Although there are also the gifts for the children.

In the communions some modernisation has occurred like the dress. Today, white isn’t the only colour; beige and a few other colours are also popular.

The director of the Association of Hoteliers in Girona, Jesus Pastor explains that there are two types of communion: the simpler short for families and the more elaborate organized children’s parties.
